Does your therapist’s office design matter?

At Kindred Counseling, we’d argue that it definitely does. The vibe of the office matters more than we would have expected, as people truly can’t be comfortable psychologically if they aren’t comfortable physically.

That’s why we were honored to be featured on FreshPractice, a website offering therapy office design inspiration for therapists, by therapists. Here’s an excerpt from the interview with practice owner, Brittni Fudge, MA, LPC, NCC:

I hope my office gives my clients all the vibes that can encourage change:  peace, calm, tranquility, energy, hope, and motivation.  The vibe of the office matters more than I would have expected, as people truly can’t be comfortable psychologically if they aren’t comfortable physically.

Beyond the vibes of the office though, I know my clients have the power to change and improve their lives because of what’s already inside them—the office vibe just provides the space for that strength, resilience, and courage to emerge in session.

In the featured post, you’ll discover the inspiration of the Kindred Counseling office, advice for therapists designing their own spaces, and how Brittni Fudge creates a comfortable counseling experience by making available amenities like coffee, chocolate, essential oils, and for the new mamas–a Boppy pillow for nursing, baby toys, and a bouncy seat for your little one to chill in while we chat.
